Turbine Gas Meters

Description:

  • Inferential type meters that employ the gas velocity to derive volumetric read
  • Employ a simple mechanical design consisting of a tubular body with flow straightener & inlet diffusor, turbine wheel, a gear train and an odometer index
  • Custody Transfer versions conform to AGA 7 and OIML standards (require oil)
  • Reduced size, extended range sub-meter versions available (require no oil)

Features & Benefits

  • Lightweight, compact and require fairly little maintenance
  • As they are inferential (not positive displacement) meters their “Fail open” design is ideal for installations where continuity of supply is critical but much more care must be taken in designing installation to insure a straight flow path & to limit turbulence
  • Specially designed sub-meter versions include pulser & require no oiling

  • Automatic oilers, low cost hand oil pumps, and/or oil-free versions
  • Pulsers, remote totalizers, pressure & temperature correctors, data loggers
  • Strainers, filters as well as pre-fabricated meter sets (see instrumentation)
